Inspection and maintenance of fire truck tanks

Since the tank of the fire truck is full of fire extinguishing agent for a long time, the soaking of the fire extinguishing agent will corrode the tank to a certain extent, especially for some fire trucks that have been in service for a long time, if they cannot be checked and maintained in time, the rust spots will expand and even rust. Through the tank, the rust residue that falls off will be washed into the water pump when the fire truck comes out of the water, which will damage the impeller and cause the water pump to fail to work normally. In particular, the tanks of foam fire trucks are highly corrosive due to the high corrosion of the foam. If inspection and maintenance are not carried out regularly, not only the tanks are prone to rust, but also the pipelines will be blocked, and the foam cannot be transported normally, resulting in the failure of fire fighting and rescue operations. Therefore, frequent inspections of fire truck tanks should be organized. Once corrosion is found, effective measures should be taken in time to prevent the expansion of rust spots. The common treatment method is to clean up the rusted parts, apply epoxy paint or repair welding after drying. The valves and pipelines of other parts related to the container tank should also be checked and cleaned regularly, and any problems found should be dealt with accordingly.

Equipment box inspection and maintenance

The equipment box is mainly used to store special equipment for fire extinguishing and emergency rescue. It is the most commonly used and most easily overlooked place. The quality of the equipment box will affect the service life of the equipment. Use rubber or other soft materials to isolate or protect the place where the friction equipment is used. Secondly, always check whether there is water in the equipment box, whether the fixing bracket is stable, whether the opening and closing of the curtain door is flexible, whether there is deformation or damage, whether there is a lack of oil in the oil groove by the door, etc., and add grease when necessary Protect.

Inspection and maintenance of power take-off and transmission shaft

Whether the power take-off and the water pump drive shaft are easy to use is the key to whether the fire truck can absorb and discharge water. It is necessary to regularly check whether the power take-off is in normal operation, whether there is any abnormal noise, whether the gear is engaged and disengaged smoothly, and whether there is any phenomenon of automatic disengagement.

If necessary, check and maintain it. Check whether there is any abnormal sound on the drive shaft of the water pump, whether the fastening parts are loose or damaged, and the ten characters of each drive shaft.

Fire pump inspection and maintenance

The fire pump is the “heart” of a fire truck. The maintenance of the fire pump directly affects the effect of fire fighting. Therefore, in the process of checking and maintaining the fire pump, we must be careful and careful, and if any fault is found, it should be eliminated in time. Generally, every time the fire pump works for 3 to 6 hours, each rotating part should be filled with grease once, and the main technical parameters such as the maximum water absorption depth, water diversion time, and maximum flow of the fire pump should be tested regularly. Check and rule out. Pay attention to the following during inspection and maintenance: if you use unclean water, clean the water pump, water tank and pipelines; after using foam, clean the water pump, foam proportioner and connecting pipelines in time: put them in the pump , pipeline storage water; water ring pump water diversion tank, scraper pump oil storage tank, water tank, foam tank must be filled if the storage is insufficient; check the water cannon or foam cannon ball valve base, clean the active parts and apply some butter to lubricate; Check the oil in the water pump and gear box in time. If the oil deteriorates (the oil turns milky white) or is missing, it should be replaced or replenished in time.

Inspection and maintenance of electrical appliances and instruments

Appropriate fuses should be selected for vehicle electrical circuits to avoid damage to electrical components. Regularly check whether the warning light and siren system can work normally, and troubleshoot in time if there is any abnormality. The contents of the electrical inspection of the water system and lighting system include: equipment box lights, pump room lights, solenoid valves, liquid level indicators, digital tachometers, and the working conditions of various meters and switches. Whether the bearing needs to be filled with grease, tighten the bolts and add grease if necessary.
